WHAT IS A DECANT?

Decant as defined by Webster's:
Pronunciation: di-'kant, dE-cant    
1 : to pour from one vessel into another
2 : to pour out, transfer, or unload as if by pouring

Here at The Perfumed Court we specialize in offering samples and decants of a superlative array of fragrances.  What we do is spray, pour, or use sterile pipettes to take perfume from its original large bottle and repackage it in a smaller bottle (we only use brand new sterile glass bottles) so that the consumer can try as many fragrances as they desire before buying a full bottle. 

The appearance of the bottles depicted above may vary slightly from the current bottles we are using for decanting, however the sizes will remain the same. Please note where the fragrances are filled to as that is the fill line for each bottle.  Our bottles are manufactured with some air space at the top so they spray properly and are not intended to be filled clear to the top.

Our samples and decants are handmade and hand poured from the original bottle of perfume.  The customer will not receive a licensed product in a licensed bottle.  The customer, however, will receive the authentic, original perfume transferred to a glass vial or bottle.  The Perfumed Court is not affiliated with the manufacturer of the perfume houses nor the perfume product in any manner.  We guarantee each and every hand-decanted perfume is authentic and unadulterated in any way.  We NEVER sell fakes, copies, dupes or diluted products.  We are pleased to bring you rare, vintage, discontinued, hard to find, uncommon, as well as well-known mass marketed fragrance.  We hope you enjoy sniffing.

WHY DO WE SELL DECANTS?

Because there are so many fragrances and so little time!  Why spend $150 on one bottle that will take you forever to finish and you may tire of, when you can spend the same money and get 10 decants.  We started out looking for our signature scent and we found all 1000 of them.

We also sell samples which are a wonderful way to try many fragrances before deciding on the full bottle you know you will love.  Samples offer the ability to wear perfume for a week or more and really decide if that fragrance is right for you.  Once you sample fragrances and find ones that you love, you can either buy decants from The Perfumed Court or  buy a full bottle from another E-tailer, department store or perfume boutique. 

WHAT YOU RECEIVE:

You pick the scent and the size, then we decant from the original bottle or vessel into a brand new sterile glass spray or roll-on of your choice.  We label each decant and carefully package to prevent leakage. 

To assure you that you get the exact amount listed for each decant bottle, we use medical measuring devices so that each bottle is filled the exact amount. Please note,  there is air space left at the top of the bottles which is important  for pressurization in atomizers. Air space does not mean you received less than the amount listed.   In the section below describing the decant bottles there is a picture showing the correct fill line for each bottle.

Please understand before purchasing, you will NOT receive an original bottle of perfume from the manufacturer.  However, you WILL receive a re-packaged, unaltered, freshly and expertly hand-decanted scent.  If you question the authenticity of our products, then perhaps purchasing a decant is not for you.

DECANTING PROCESS:

Each vessel is hand decanted after payment and moments before shipping from our personal bottles of authentic fragrances.  We use sterile medical pipettes designated for each fragrance, or the perfume is sprayed or poured directly from the original bottle.  The utmost care is taken to ensure freshness and quality.

Decants ~ The best way to to buy smaller amounts of perfume than offered by the
manufacturers, as well as, a great way to build up an eclectic perfume wardrobe.

Roll-ons give you more control during application and are for those who like their perfume applied in small amounts so you can control how much is applied to the skin.  Roll-ons last longer than sprays but also get oils from the skin in the perfume as it’s rolled on.  Spray is for those who like wider coverage.  Sprays stay cleaner, covers a larger area and can be sprayed on clothing as well.
